Dr. Gina Gonzalez’s love for dentistry began at an early age. As a fifteen year old, Dr. Gina was a dental assistant to a dentist who was ultimately responsible for inspiring her career in dentistry. She earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry in 1982. Four years later, in 1986, she earned a master’s degree in Higher and Post Secondary Education and later in 1991 was awarded her Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree, also from USC. As an assistant clinical professor at the University of Southern California for over five years, Dr. Gina was able to give back to the profession and school that has had such a profound impact on her life. She is currently teaching in the dental hygiene department at USC.
Dr. Gina has 20 years of experience in implant restoration and minor tooth movement. The unique combination of her education, experience, and artistic skill have made her an expert in creating A-List smiles with cosmetic veneers. She is also extensively trained in achieving a perfect smile with the use of Invisalign technology.
Today, Dr. Gina Gonzalez enjoys her own state-of-the-art private practice, Heart Centered Dentistry, located in the beautiful beach city of Santa Monica, CA.
I believe that achieving a healthy and beautiful smile requires the ability to see the full person. I founded Heart Centered Dentistry based on this concept and the common link between gum disease and heart disease. I believe that proactive oral hygiene is not only essential for good oral health, but can actually save lives! Heart Centered Dentistry revolves around these principles, as well as my personal commitment to offering heartfelt care to all my patients.
